Christmas card made from an unusually well-preserved altarpiece by Stefano d'Antonio di Vanni (The Annunciation, ca. 1430). The altarpiece shows the moment when the archangel Gabriel tells the Virgin Mary that she will give birth to the Son of God. The dialogue between them is inscribed in their haloes.
